FINCA BUTARÓS comes from a vineyard planted at the end of the 19th century on slate land in Paratge de Butarós, at the northern end of the terme of Garriguella in the direction of Vilamaniscle.
The varieties that predominate there are the Carignan and the Grenache black, although we also find strains of white varieties in between.
The tree that decorates the label is a century-old server that is in the middle of the estate and that over the years has grown inclined to the effects of the Tramuntana.
The grapes are carefully selected by hand and each variety is harvested individually at the moment of perfect ripeness.
Fermentation is also done separately in stainless steel tanks, cooled to a temperature of 23-25°C with 2-3 daily pump-over, and racking 30-40 days after the start of fermentation according to variety.
Once the malolactic fermentation is completed, the two varieties are blended and aged for 1 year in French oak barrels.
Red Carignan and Red Grenache
Complex aroma of spices and black fruits, nutmeg, coffee, cocoa, cloves, licorice, toast, plums and light balsamic notes. In the mouth we find a lot of ripe fruit, it is unctuous, fine, wide and has a soft and pleasant tannin.
