During 2017 we have organised a Oeno-Historic visit each month, pairing our wines and the age-old spaces surrounding our vines.
The visits start-off with a historic immersion via an explanation provided by the guide with visual support from a series of slides, a guided tour of the historic space in question and ending with a guided tasting of our wines. These guided tours have been designed for groups no larger than 25 people and they last for about three hours.
There were already carried out before, thanks to the experience accumulated, they will be offered to the public through the knowledge of the historian David García Algilaga, as a consolidated and regular activity which will combine #Wine, #History and #Empordà.
The visits which are scheduled, which are compatible with each other, are:
GARRIGUELLA REPUBLICAN MILITARY AIRFIELD
This visit has been designed around the aerodrome that was built during the Civil War in Garriguella, close to Vilajuïga and Pedret i Marzà. Its history, highlighting the last air combat, fought by Josep Falcó and members of the Condor Legion, and its heritage are explained while touring the vineyards of Empordà.

RESISTANCE CENTRE No. 12
This visit to the misnamed P Line bunkers, will take us back in time to a widely unknown part of history which happens to be quite important to many of us, as is the fortification of the Pyrenees after the Civil War due to Franco’s fear of being invaded by the French army. The history and visit to one of the resistance centres of that so-called Pyrenees Defensive Organisation, will be the main activity within the Oeno-Historic tour, which will also include a visit to a breath-taking Empordà viewpoint surrounded by vines and olive trees.
