The event was the final act of the First Awards VINAR , before they start the summer with a call to all the wineries and has the participation of 730 wines belonging to different denominations of origin of Catalonia . Four eliminatory tastings during the months of June and July and a final tasting , held on September 16 in Rubi , have given way to a great night for Catalan wines that have delivered more than 150 award winning wines .
The wines have participated in twelve categories, each of which received a VINAR Gold , three Silver and five VINAR VINAR Bronze . Also, were awarded the Special VINAR Organic Production and Special VINAR the DO, which recognize the best wines from each of the twelve appellations of origin of Catalonia .
The most important award of the night, the Great Golden VINAR 2013, that distinguishes the best wine Catalan , has been to Grenache d’Empordà Solera Mas Llunes 2002 DO Empordà a sweet wine that has been rated the Best of wine among the 730 submitted for competition . The same wine won the Gold in the category VINAR sweet wine , and dessert and stale VINAR Gold Special DO Empordà
