And from an extraordinary grapes comes exceptional wine. That&#8217;s the main reason why we only make wines from <strong>our own vineyards<\/strong>, some of them are over a hundred years old. When you have treasures like these, there&#8217;s no one better than yourself to take care of them.<\/p>\n<p>Following the rules of <strong>organic production,<\/strong> we make every effort to obtain wines with personality and a marked Empord\u00e0 character. The 150,000 bottles we produce every year are the result of this way of understanding wine.<\/p>\n<p>We move forward into the future without losing sight of our roots, because we like to think that if class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">We enjoy an excellent Mediterranean climate for our vineyards: cold but not too hard winters and hot summers tempered by sea breezes.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cf435bb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"cf435bb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Even the Tramuntana, -the strong north wind so common in Empord\u00e0-, helps our wines, as it dries the vines, prevents humidity and helps achieve perfect ripening. Most of our vineyards are planted on slate soils.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-91a3c12 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"91a3c12\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>These soils are acidic, poor in organic matter and have good drainage, ideal conditions for planting vines. This also gives them a high degree of concentration and minerality, which instils our wines with their distinct Empord\u00e0 against pests,- and birds such as the lesser kestrel or the European roller.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of two natural ponds with the typical vegetation of the temporary ponds present in Albera provides water for some animals and insects and enriches the presence of amphibians, birds, dragonflies, butterflies and other invertebrates in our such a rich, diverse landscape.
