Vi singular Garnatxa Roja del Mas Llunes

First name

The name aims to express what is sought in this series of wines from Mas Llunes: a series of Singular wines that are unique and different in each vintage; always coming from native varieties and very old vines and made in very small quantities.
The design of the label reproduces the drawing of a dry stone wall that seeks to convey the uniqueness of each of the stones that make it up.

The grapes were carefully selected by hand at the time of harvest to achieve an optimal and homogeneous degree of ripeness.
The must macerated with the grape skins for three hours prior to fermentation. 80% was fermented in lightly toasted French oak barrels and remained in contact with the lees for 5 months. The rest fermented in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 17ºC. Prior to bottling, it was filtered and stabilized at -3ºC.

100% red Grenache coming from the selection of the strains of this variety from a vineyard over 70 years old in the Fontanilles area planted on slate land.

Tasting note

Bright golden color with light gray reflections. Sweet aromas of very ripe fruit, quince, aniseeds, fennel,... followed by fresh citrus aromas with light notes of mint. In the mouth it is a wine very balanced in sweetness and acidity, broad, gluttonous, sweet and at the same time fresh.
Very persistent.
